Terms of use
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Dekhbhaal ("we", "us"), who make Dekhbhaal: the app, the web app, and dekhbhaal.app. By using Dekhbhaal you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
Who can use Dekhbhaal
- The family side is for adults: you must be 18 or older.
- Dekhbhaal is for parents who are 60 or older. Set it up only for a parent who knows about it and agrees; they hear what it does and give their own consent on their first day.
- Add other people's names and numbers (a neighbour, a nurse, a brother or sister) only if they're happy for you to.
- Keep your sign-in secure: your Google or Apple account, and your phone.
Dekhbhaal is in a pilot
Dekhbhaal is in an early pilot. It's free while the pilot runs, features will change, and things may break. We may charge later; we'll tell you the price before anything you use starts to cost money, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
What's said stays the parent's
What a parent says and shares belongs to them, and what the family adds belongs to the family. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Dekhbhaal: for example to transcribe voice notes, write check-ins and replies, learn from what's said, check messages for scams, and read papers aloud. That permission ends when the content or the account is deleted. We never use it to train AI models, and we don't sell it.
What Dekhbhaal is, and isn't
- Dekhbhaal is an AI, not a person. It always says so.
- AI makes mistakes. Dekhbhaal may mishear, misremember or misunderstand. Check anything important.
- The scam check can be wrong. It is a second opinion, not a guarantee. When in doubt, don't pay, and call the official number of the bank or company. We aren't responsible for money a scammer takes.
- Dekhbhaal is not medical, legal or financial advice. It reminds and reads; it can't diagnose or treat anything, and it never changes a medicine. Ask a doctor.
- Dekhbhaal is not an emergency service. It can't send help, and it may not notice when help is needed, for example if the phone is off, offline, or out of reach. In an emergency, call 112.
- Alerts depend on phones and networks. A check-in or an alert can be late or not arrive. Dekhbhaal adds to the people who look after your parent; it doesn't replace them.
- It never moves money and never asks for an OTP, money or bank details. Anyone who does is not Dekhbhaal.
Using Dekhbhaal fairly
Please don't:
- use Dekhbhaal to watch, control or harm anyone, or to break the law;
- set it up for someone who doesn't know about it or hasn't agreed;
- try to get into other people's accounts, break Dekhbhaal's security, overload it, or copy it with automated tools;
- use Dekhbhaal to build a competing product, or resell it.
Ending
You can stop using Dekhbhaal and ask us to delete an account at any time; the parent can too. What happens then is in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to stop offering Dekhbhaal; where we can, we'll give notice and time to get a copy of the data.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Dekhbhaal running and its data safe, but we provide it "as is", without promises that it will always be available, error-free or right. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for anything to do with Dekhbhaal is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (nothing, while the pilot is free). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as Dekhbhaal grows. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before an important change takes effect. If you keep using Dekhbhaal after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of India.
